I’ve really come round to this album. Used to the Blues is a classic Zayn song to my ears.

His voice sounds heavenly on this. I hope they drop the deluxe tracks on Spotify soon as there are really no skips for me.
I saw him in Edinburgh in a smaller venue last tour and have been hesitant about getting Hydro tickets but I think the quality of the album has swayed me.
Number 4 in the UK album chart isn’t too bad either considering the issues he’s had this week. Although it’s mad to me that Louis’s album hit number one (which I loved) and this couldn’t.

Yeah have been playing this album a lot, one of his best since his debut album.
Looking forward to the tour too, be interesting to see what he has planned since it’s his first solo gig in big venues.

Almost done with my first listen through and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m glad he didn’t wait as long to follow up his last LP. It wasn’t to my taste at all. This is more immediate, full of texture, and his voice sounds so at home in the production. Can’t wait to have another full listen and see how many favourites I pick out.
Also, his album covers just get worse don’t they? Bless.

Woof. It tickles me that he had these options and still went with that though. They’re pretty basic but he’s serving face on all of them so they’re automatically better!
I wonder when the deluxe edition will be up on streaming. I listened to the two additional tracks on YouTube. Bad For You was cute, but Raise The Dead should’ve been on the standard.
I keep going back to Side Effects at the moment. It’s like the sister track to dRuNk off Mind Of Mine.

Only Digital download sadly. No physicals… yet.
There’s a few chops on this but I’m really enjoying it overall, and it’s such an improvement over the last album. Met Tonight and Take Turns are on repeaT.

Overall I like the album, but I have a few thoughts:
Die for Me deserved a stronger placement on the tracklist instead of being tacked on at the end. I would’ve placed it after Nusrat in the same way Pillowtalk comes crashing in after the intro on his debut.
The run from Sideways to Fatal is really great.
I also think Love Like This would’ve fit naturally into this soundscape and could’ve replaced one of the fillers.

So.. US tour has been canceled. Did it not sell well? The statement is a bit vague and he is still doing the rest of the tour.
Looks like Birmingham & Dublin are also cancelled. Surprised the sooner shows are going ahead (for now).
Edit: got an email there to say Glasgow is cancelled.
He’s definitely having health issues of some kind but if the dates were selling he would’ve rescheduled them. He simply isn’t an arena act in the US and the 1D legacy has definitely dwindled - even Harry isn’t streaming like he used to.

He’s going through some serious health issues, had to be hospitalized, talks about needing a cardiologist. Kept the latter dates in the tour up.
