For the last three years the staging has been awful. The screen behind doesn’t look great and the turned up tables with fake buttons etc are a choice. I really hope there’s more to this performance.

Yeah sorry, this is giving double zero points. He has such little charisma. It just looks cheap. With Mae it was her voice, with Olly the staging, with RM the song, and this year it’s him and his experience on a big stage. The best result I can see is 20th at best.

I completely understand the negativity - they’ve chosen a really odd 30 seconds for the preview clip.
That just makes me think there is so much more to come. But also the vibe is completely him and his style!
It’s totally batshit, exactly what they wanted. In-between the right songs this is going to really stand out. All they’re aiming for is televote points and this should definitely be getting some.
I think my issue is the staging doesn’t feel authentically batshit, if that makes sense. It’s given Brian Friedman X Factor circa 2009, not really authentic to the act. I also don’t see Look Mum No Computer as silly/comedic; I see his vibe as more Bambi Thug, dark/eccentric/art school/creepy props etc. But they are leaning fully into silly. It’s be like if Bambi Thug had been given people with pumpkin head costumes dancing around her.
But agree, we’ve only seen one small section so who knows. I am just struggling to live beyond the terrible green monitor dancers.
The best staging is one simple but big stunt/prop. Nemo’s revolving circle, Loreen’a panini press etc.

We’ll see, if everything else is on the level of that clip it’s not going to do anything. As many have rightfully said, there is no intention to be competitive this year.
I don’t think anyone will be disappointed finishing 15-20 and 20+ televote points. Yeah a low bar, who cares!
I do genuinely think the furby organ would have been a stand out moment and could’ve helped a lot. everyone would remember the act with the furby organ

This has Andrew Cartmell all over it, underbaked, not thought out, and cheapening the genuine talent onstage. I’m just surprised David May has put his name to this after Sam Ryder. Maybe they really did get diddled after they were forced to go with their 2nd option quickly.
No shade on LMNC, his backcatalogue was exciting and the first time I heard this song I genuinely thought there was a chance; I just don’t think he has the stage presence for that big stage. Anyone comparing this to Karijja needs to get their heads checked. Shame really.

I am always such an optimist when it comes to our Eurovision entry and convince myself that somehow on the night we’re going to blow Europe away and end up near the top of the leaderboard. But I have hated this year’s entry from the first time I heard it and think it all sounds and looks naff… and not the type of naff we sometimes like at Eurovision. I was so surprised to see people on here and our old home praising it and expecting it to do well but am now happy to (hopefully) be with the majority for once.
Perhaps I’ll be wrong as usual and this will win the whole thing but I doubt it!
