UK Eurovision Entry 2026

Whenever I do it I end up with eleven words. 1-5 is easy but then I get (phonetically):

Zecht, seiben, acht, zucht, neun, zehn

I think zucht is maybe an interloper?

That’s the spirit!

Obviously it would be nice if there was a little more hype and positivity, but there has really been nothing to push that in the run up. So 20th on polls etc. isn’t all surprising.

I’ve said from the start, this entry lives or dies on the staging. As we know more of that Thurs / Fri, or perhaps once we get the clip Sat / Sun, we’ll have some momentum. I’m absolutely sure of it.

The brief this year is some televote points. With their budget and staging director, I think we’re gonna be very pleasantly surprised.

Considering most people think this is heading for bottom five and the number of televote points to beat is ZERO the bar to being ‘pleasantly surprised’ is very very low fff

You say that like it’s a bad thing?

Getting a 12 last year from a puppet mouse was iconic. Id take that sort of moment and zero televotes over 4 jury points and 3 from the televote to be honest.

Trying to be optimistic but my concern is: staging can only take us so far, he needs to have stand out charismatic performance ability too (which I haven’t yet seen).

Judging by the ‘team UK’ photo of them arriving in Vienna, it looks like he’ll have dancers with him. That’s probably a good idea to add to the atmosphere on stage.

I’m more nervous excited for the rehearsal than most years!

17:50 - United Kingdom rehearsing in… Eins… Zwei… Drei

LOOK MUM!

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is setting up on stage for the United Kingdom!

We’re seeing an office. We’re seeing how he *really* sees his office co-workers. And we’re feeling pretty okey dokey about what’s ahead of us!

18:15 - Need something salty?

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has arrived in Vienna, yet he already finds himself back to working the ol’ 9 to 5 office set-up.

But this is no ordinary workplace; it’s very much a supersized version of Eins, Zwei, Drei music video. As the song begins we see rows of desks on the stage. Joining him for his shift are four (for now!..) co-workers, but as you might well have come to expect from LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, these are not your average colleagues. Wearing computer monitors for heads, these guys sum up precisely how the artist feels about his new environment.

At the start of his story, he goes along with the soul-crushing drudgery of the office life he’s been plonked into. But as the track really kicks in, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER breaks free and escapes. Job done! The office desks become a choreography centre-piece as LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER and his co-workers transform their space. Before we know it there’s been a stage makeover revealing LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s signature synthesizers and keyboard. Fun fact: the props in use were built by the multi-talented LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER himself!

For his performance on the Eurovision stage, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is decked out in his trademark boiler suit, which has had something of a glow up, with a hint of functional fashion. It’s dusky pink in colour with silver zips, and the look is completed with Doc Marten boots for him to stomp around the Wiener Stadthalle stage in.

Looking really promising! There’s going to be a ton going on lighting-wise. Love the colour palette too.

Dancers looking goofy on the wide angle photos, I’m assuming this will look better on camera.

First rehearsal clip is out https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYIL5A0kSVj/?igsh=MXZvOHp1dXk3NXRvdw==

God I don’t know! It’s really not showing us any of the exciting stuff yet. Call and response… if the crowd get behind it, it could be genius.

WOW! And I don’t know if I mean that in a good or a bad way. Guess we will soon find out! But I love the colours and he looks like he’s having the best time and being himself!

Find it hard to be positive about it. I thought it would be way more out there and fun? It all seems a bit dark to me. There has been huge emphasis this year about how he has made his own switchboards or whatever they’re called, it seemed to be the main selling point of the song & staging, but are they really that impressive to a casual esc viewer? I fear a double zero

I think it all looks a bit…naff and silly. Sorry. The dancing monitor heads are very cringe.

I’m disappointed as I think with the right song (ie more like their usual songs) this act could have done a Baller, with an edgy interesting electronic song. But as is, it’s closer to Daz Sampson joke act.

Everything about him just gives me Kevin and Perry fffff I cant even put into words how much I hate this song… every time I hear it again I like it less. Pepperoni and ponies… yikes!

I don’t think we’ll have any real idea how this might go until he performs in the second semi.

It’s definitely a choice to select those 30 seconds for the clip; audience interaction with no audience.

The only logic is that they don’t want anything else given away yet, which isn’t a bad sign.

The rehearsal clip… I-

Maybe the BBC is playing 4D chess sending such an abysmal act at a time the contest is in the toilet anyway
