I’ve currently been on a deep dive. I knew of ‘Opposites Attract’ and American Idol but I had no idea just how successful her singing career had been. Six #1’s. Biggest selling debut album for that time. Rush (what a music video) and Straight Up are my favourites. Also, My Love Is For Real deserved to be a hit. Has she ever went into depth about the third album at all?

I don’t think Crazy Cool gets enough love. A shimmery bop and she looked gorg in the video, though I don’t really prefer the slight remix it got there.
I don’t know if this is a hot take but I prefer the album version of Vibeology over the single edit. Jail to whoever decided to remove the “Go Paula, go Paula, go go go Paula!” chant!
While we’re at it, free up some space in jail for whoever decided that what we really wanted on streaming were the edits - only used in Europe to comply with chart regulations on length - of Straight Up and not the full mixes.
