Sorry but I’m a little too amused about Mariah going to a regional nightclub to do a pre record for Heartbreaker.
I’ve absolutely been loving the 1999 repeats and sad they are coming to an end.
I thought Shola Ama recorded Still Believe but I assume it was a pre record that got ditched (not least as that episode already had two tracks that failed to crack the top 20?)

I remember being shouted down the stairs because “Roxette are on Top of the Pops!”
GALA had a good run of performances of Freed From Desire (3 in total if you include the Christmas special?) But it was seeing her name appear on the Teletext TV listings that got me most abuzz (I was on holiday for all of the initial FFD appearances - which I was infuriates about). Anyway, I hadn’t even heard Let A Boy Cry before, and I was transfixed. It was definitely not what I was expecting and those two girls dancing at the front crack me up to this day. I recorded it on VHS and probably re-watched it even more times than ai did the Spice Girls on the National Lottery. What a year 1997 was (probably my absolute favourite).

Love how many times Mariah appeared on the Pops during the 90s! As a stan, always like to see her performances in the repeats.

I sometimes wonder for the “live by satellite” performances were actually for Top Of The Pops or whether they were generic performances where there are a couple of shots at a distance which show the Top Of The Pops logo (or logos of other channels/ programmes) that’s then inserted into the performance
