Shygirl has been openly working on the follow up to her 2022 debut album Nymph for the past couple years. She recently confirmed via ShyMail that she is currently finishing it up, and it will be released this fall.
In the middle of all this, she’s released 4 Club Shy EPs (2 of original material and 2 remix companions) and celebrated the 5th anniversary of the ALIAS EP with a remix companion featuring all new collaborations titled ALIAS is ME.
I’m very excited for what she does next. Nymph was an unexpected swerve for a debut album. I really have no idea what she’s been cooking up.
Shygirl has been soundtracking my life for a few years now and I just thought yesterday I seem to be on a break from her. The club shy projects kind of got a bit much for me so I am looking forward to the pivot.
I wonder what kind of sound she’s going for on the next record. I definitely prefer Alias/Club Shy to Nymph. I’d like to see her try and meld the two.
She mentioned there’s a lot of guitars. She’s working with Casey MQ.
