I love Let’s Eat Grandma, especially the last two albums but I haven’t been able to gel with either of their solo music yet. I’m still trying.
I’ve connected a lot more with Jenny on Holiday’s solo stuff (listening to Every Ounce of Me whilst watching the sunset is the gateway drug, highly recommend!) Buttttt that being said, I think Rosa’s will reveal itself once the full album is out.
Overall, I do agree that given the current material, they are seemingly at their very greatest together.
Feel awful but completely agree. Rosa’s album especially I’m finding the voices a bit grading (same for Jenny but thought the songwriting was stronger there.) I don’t know if it’s because they’re actively trying to sound different from LEG or what, but there voices work better together IMO. And in general I miss the early experimentation. The songs and lyrics were so much more exciting on the first two records, but I still loved two ribbons and feel it was more elegant than the two solo records. (Hope the girls don’t see this tbh, feel awful saying all this! Wish them both the most success separate and together)
