I feel like I’ve heard many people travelling specifically to see her on home turf for this tour. It’s so frustrating to see all this logistics fuckery across the board these days for pop tours. I imagine promoters are greedy to bank on the touring boom and it’s not news to anyone but still sucks…
I wasn’t too keen on seeing her in an arena to begin with, so a stadium is a no and I’ve asked for a refund. I’ve been fortunate enough to only have seen her in really small and intimate venues before. This is such a screw up.
She just moved the 3 Swedish dates to October for a single stadium date and she’s getting eaten alive on socials both from Swedes and internationals nn
I’m in Stockholm and first thing I did was stealing a poster from the street with the original July dates - maybe a collector’s item now? ddd
I would be utterly pissed off if I was going to one of her Swedish dates, especially as it’s gone from 16,000 per night to 40,000 and in the Autumn too ddd. Despite her being phenomenal supporting Harry in a stadium setting, not sure how the arena tour (everywhere else) will translate in a stadium.
I don’t understand why so many people hate stadium shows tbh
I like seeing the artist on stage.

I think I have a hatred for arena tours because when an artist announces one they most likely won’t tour South America dd.
They’re going to scream when the people with tickets can’t go to the new date and it’s a flop.
She’s getting dragged on Instagram.
Oh totally agree. The only artists I’ve ever seen being able to make a stadium work was Beyoncé, but that’s also because she has the budget to do it, a huge stage, multiple dancers and the stamina to run around for 3 hours. Everybody else basically had the backdrop you’d see in an arena and then just… nothing to fill the stadium up.
They’ll be able to get tickets. But will they want them? Probably not.
This is handled so poorly, especially the phrasing “venue upgrade” when in fact it’s a downgrade in the sense it won’t be as (using the phrase loosely here) intimate as the original venue.
Flop era, sadly.
Do we know how well sold the three arena dates were? The overall capacity seems to be about the same so it doesn’t really make much sense to me, did the original dates suddenly not work or something? And now it’s a lone stadium date.
Probably all three weren’t going to be filled by the time of the show and so I guess it makes more sense to try and consolidate into a single date, further down the line, than playing three undersold nights or cancelling one. They really fucked up by putting all three on sale at once rather than dripfeeding additional nights.
They didn’t sell well at all. They should have released them one after another depending on demand. And in the middle of summer vacation was going to be hard, still.
This flop era
Even Swedish press are calling this move for crisis management, because her team over estimated the demand for tickets for those three gigs that just didn’t sell. Nobody would piss off fans with already made and paid travel plans if disaster wasn’t looming and it was absolutely necessary. They also wonder how she and they could miscalculate the demand in the first place, as the reception to the album has been quite lukewarm. Ouch.
These venues were booked two years ago and went on sale before the album was out no?
Not two years but yes.
Just adding that while capacity is pretty much the same, this gives them a few more months to sell tickets. Fall should be easier but it will be a struggle. And one almost sold out date looks better than three not at all sold out.
Edit: capacity is actually 8000 less, so…
Will they sell more tickets though? A percentage of the sold tickets are getting refunded too
