Wasn’t this mixed by someone as a response to Band aid ignoring the SAW version completely for the 40th? They used the excuse that they couldn’t get hold of the vocal stems, so someone just ripped the vocals and created this to prove a point.

Think Band aid just thought the superior SAW version wasn’t cool enough to include.

Really enjoyed the chart beats ‘A journey through SAW’ podcast so just started listening to this 5 year (how the fuck has it been that long!) Birthday special. Really good so far, bit of a deep dive into some lesser known album tracks with Mike Stock.
