I’ve always been fascinated by this queen. The way she cranked out albums in the 90’s housing massive bangers (and a decent amount of filler), collaborating with Metro the same time they were working with Cher and Tina Turner and had other album credits from Rami Yacoub and Diane Warren it seems wild that she really is unmentioned in the corners of the pop loving internet. She originated Kylie’s On A Night Like This, but also seemed to skate between every 90’s pop trend from Backstreet Boys early Cheiron (You Don’t Wanna Know below), Ace of Base (Mr. Right below), the Believe-esque Eurodance (Crazy Way About You below), and more. This thread will prob flop like all of her material seemed to outside of Japan, but I felt like shouting her out.
I had most of her albums at one point. I always felt like some of her tracks were written for Gina G’s follow up album but were given to Pandora instead - You’ll Always Be The Love of My Life is a bop.
Great thread! I love Pandora and was relatively late to the party, becoming a fan after her UMK track. I love that she got a Melodifestivalen guest slot a couple of years ago - and certainly think she’s probably on a list for a spot soon.
I’ve been meaning to take the hit and buy her Maschina records reissues.
Looks to be a case of same song given to two acts at the same time, as both were out in 1999. I must say, the Pandora version devours for me. The vocal is just stronger and more anthemic!
