NCT
NCT (엔시티), an acronym for ‘Neo Culture Technology’, is a 25 member boy group under SM Entertainment. They are described as having an unlimited number of members and sub-units until late 2023 where it was announced that NCT Wish would be the last sub-unit of NCT, and no more members would be joining. The group consists of members Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Chenle, Jisung, Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo and Sakuya. NCT also promotes in different sub-units. The current sub-units are NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT DoJaeJung and NCT Wish. Former members include Mark, Lucas, and RIIZE’s Shotaro and Sungchan.
NCT 127
NCT 127 (엔씨티 127) is the second sub-unit of the boy group NCT. The sub-unit consists of 7 members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, and Haechan. NCT 127 debuted on July 7th, 2016 under SM Entertainment with an EP NCT#127. Former members include: Mark (left the group and SM) and Winwin (a current but inactive member of sub-unit WayV).
NCT DREAM
NCT DREAM (엔씨티 DREAM) is the 3rd sub-unit of the boy group NCT under SM Entertainment. The sub-unit consists of 6 members: Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin, and Jisung. Mark left the sub-unit and the agency on April 8, 2026. They debuted on August 25, 2016, with their first single, Chewing Gum.
WAYV
WayV (威神V, WeiShen V) is the fourth sub-unit of NCT based in China, making WayV the first sub-unit in NCT based out of Korea, under SM Entertainment’s China-exclusive label, Label V. The sub-unit currently consists of 6 members; Kun, Ten, XiaoJun, Hendery YangYang, and WinWin (currently inactive). WayV debuted on January 17, 2019, with the single album “The Vision”. On April 6, it was announced that Ten’s exclusive contract with SM will conclude on April 8. However, he will continue participating in WayV and NCT activities where possible. Former members include Lucas.
NCT WISH
NCT WISH (NCT 위시), formerly known as NCT New Team is the 6th unit of the boy group NCT under SM Entertainment formed through the survival show NCT Universe : LASTART. The unit consists 6 members; Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya. They released a pre-debut single, Hands Up on October 19, 2023. They debuted on February 21, 2024, with their first single, WISH.
