I really like this slight pivot in sound for her. Still very country, very Miranda, but the little disco flair is awesome.
And needed, I think. I enjoyed both Palomino and Postcards from Texas but I’ve been wanting her to change it up a little. Bring on the camp country bops!

I do quite like this but… the pandering to the gays with this shift in sound after signing up to the Kid Rock festival is crazy.

I’m very curious what prompted this, with the Ella Langley song doing so well her stock within the country music community should really be at a high again and she probably had the best chance of getting a country hit she’s had in a long time.
This actually feels way too left field for country radio, it’s camp, stupid and just gay enough for it to be completely ignored by them.
In a lot of ways even with my recent disappointment in her I’d really like this to succeed to get an album in this vein but also to show that there is demand for a bit of camp country disco (release the disco album Dolly PLEASE!).
A whole album of this would be overkill. She’s always had enough pop in her songwriting to not be stagnant in her output.
