Julieta Venegas is a Mexican singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist (she plays a total of 17 instruments) who has been a figurehead in Mexican and Latin music, as a whole, for over thirty years. Widely regarded as a pioneer for her evocative melodies, cunning and versalitle lyricism and for continuously walking the line between Latin Alternative and Pop music, she is cited as an influence by various artists who came after her.

Her new album, Norteña, which accompanies the release of her memoir of the same name, will be released on May 14th. The album will explore her childhood growing up in the border city of Tijuana and her connection to her home country following her return to Mexico after several years of living abroad. The latest pre-release single is her collaboration with Yahritza Y Su Esencia, La Linéa.
