I would love to upload a picture, but it won’t let me, and this millennial is turning into a boomer because I don’t know a way around it. If any mod could help me with this, I’d be grateful.
Anyway, I was just listening to Sister Ray, and it reminded me of how much I enjoy her music. The Kick (the album) and All I Need (deluxe) were both in my most-played albums of that year. She’s not necessarily an artist I think of often, but when I do, I’m reminded of how much I love her music. I hope she’ll release something new in her style soon.
I’ve had to block Sister Ray from my taste profile on Spotify as it was number one on my wrapped for three years in a row.
It’s one of my comfort songs. Any overwhelming emotion, or I need to focus at work, it’s on repeat… I need an extended mix
The All I Need album was so strong, it’s a shame it never did more from her… but it’s kinda the way with pop girls, their best work is often not appreciated.
I agree. It’s probably in my top 3 favorite albums of 2022, along with Renaissance & Hold The Girl.
edit: I forgot that SOS is also a 2022 album. I always think of it as a 2023 album, cause it was released in december 2022, so it had more impact in 2023. So The Kick is in my top 4 albums of 2022
