I guess you’re right, they’re electronic, uptempo and pop… but still not exactly the kind that suits Ellie best. Perhaps next album will be it! Trends in music actually might to be on her side this time around.
Yes, Destiny is a Jack Rochon co-write as is nearly every song I’d listed there. Same actually applies with Hypnotized, before it was passed along to and morphed into its Anyma produced existence.
From I understand, both Hypnotized and Destiny are from some of their earliest sessions together, going from related interviews and their overall release dates, which means there’s a possibility that Destiny might not be reflective of the finalised album soundscape.

I feel like there is always so much potential there with each project she does, but the vision gets lost / watered down by big name collabs and hit chasing.
Hopefully this era she is taking a leaf from Jessie’s book and just focusing on fucking good music.
