Queen of books!
And an apt title for a premature thread.
Hi sisters! x
You got first duck in the new forum. Congrats, Vas!
Supposedly, she’s scrapped what was recorded last year and is leaning toward an R&B/jazz vibe in the vein of Sade, under the advice of Mark Ronson. NME is quoted as a source but can’t find the original context… so hmm, pinch of salt and all that.
it definitely feels as though Dua and her team were experimenting with moving in a rock direction, give the live arrangements on tour and some of the cover song choices. I’m just not sure it’s what she should pursue, if she wants to achieve Future Nostalgia levels of success again.
I love Dua’s dance music, but I think it makes sense to go in a different direction and explore an entirely new sound. And I could see her voice working on that style of music.
And I pray that she refrains from defining said sound in any pre-release promo, unless it absolutely defines the album’s actual sound. Britpop and rave culture give me war flashbacks.
I don’t really think that’s true. She was very recently in Lostboy’s studio and Ian Kirpatrick also confirmed he’s been working with her.
I think an album that mixes dance music and a chill Sade-y vibe would be perfect for her. She’s got the perfect voice for it.
Is it wrong that I want her to have hits? Music not the bling but I need her on the radio.
Please come back, and not to a holiday destination!
Double album - one full of Zara Dua bops and one side of Olivia Dean Sade vibes, problem sorted.
I know it’s unrealistic but I really hope she will go all out with this new album like she did for Future Nostalgia, although she will probably release 3 singles in 2027/28, drop the album, go on tour and then enjoy her Endless Summer Vacation.
Edit: I didn’t mean to reply to Vasilios but I don’t know how to change it lol
The Vacanza Queen is here!

Queen. Houdini and Physical are always fighting it out for my fave pop song.
Excited for what comes next. Her voice is so versatile I’d be up for something different. Equally I wouldn’t say no to another dance floor banger.
Can we… stop making these threads? Make a Dua Lipa topic in General and all discussion than go there. We know fuck all about a new album.
Dukajin when Warner calls
Two Hearts just came as autoplay on Spotify and I was bopping for a moment.
Can’t wait to find out who will block her lead single from #1 in the UK this time
