Apparently he said the single is coming in June and the album will be out this summer. This snippet sounds like a continuation of Pressure Machine, which I personally thought was brilliant, but may not be what people are expecting from a Brandon solo album.

True. I know that’s what Brandon wanted the next Killers album to sound like. But that’s not what I want from the band or him. It was a nice album - but I don’t need a second one sounding like it. I thought Bright Lights had a nice sound to it, but they didn’t follow it up with an album.
For his solo, Brandon needs to pick up from where The Desired Effect or the last Killers EP left off.

Something less Killers and really pop. More of the Desired effect, but full on pop.
Can’t Deny My Love is a cracking tune. But some love for Still Want You and Right Behind You, too! (On the subject of the latter, how was it ever relegated to bonus track status?!)
Have really enjoyed his solo output through the years.

King! Both of his solo albums are great and I’m stoked for another one. I wasn’t crazy about the last Killers album so hopefully this is better.
Oh, fun! Really looking forward to seeing what he’s got in store.
Pressure Machine is one of my personal favorites, so I’d be thrilled with more of that. Or anything similarly bold.
I totally forgot about “The Desired Effect”, I’m listening now and holy shit what an album. “The Way It’s Always Been” is such a lovely song.
