Arca

Arca. Venezuelean icon, trailblazer and supreme leader of the mutant generation.
Her work spans multiple solo releases as well as some standout production credits, with the likes of Björk[1], FKA twigs[2] and Rosalía[3].

Her kick series (i - iiiii) was a masterclass in genre subversion and world-building, blending Trance, Reggaeton, Noise, Electronic, Pop and Ambient into one living and breathing universe over the 5 acts.

With a new album slated for later this year, production credits on Madonna’s I Feel So Free[4] + a feature on Safety Trance’s new record[5] with the beat drops[6], we are gearing up to be seeing much more of mother mutant throughout the rest of 2026.

I love her. I’m not sure if this is a controversial take but I kinda want the next album to be less neo perreo and something more like her self-titled or the last Kick.

I have to agree, the last few one of singles haven’t done much for me really and I feel she has probably mined this sound as much as she can do for now. But I trust her instincts and I recon the new record will be a departure to a new destination.
