I may be totally misremembering this, but was there a version of Don’t Turn Around that (I don’t think) got released in the UK, but sounded a bit more pop/less reggae?

I’m still hearing their version of “Cruel Summer” in stores in the US.

I think that’s the mastered version while the European one was not mixed properly. The US version is superior, IMHO. It actually sounds finished. I think Jonas actually said that the version on the Euro edition was an accident.

I remember being surprised that her solo album was so pop-driven. I’m sure many of us were expecting a religious ballad album given that she kept putting off working with Jonas and Ulf on a new Ace of Base album. Part of that was the record label demanding four members. My Story and The Golden Ratio were released a month apart. Fans like to dismiss The Golden Ratio, but to me it’s Jonas and Ulf’s solo project much like Jenny’s My Story. They both deserve to be acknowledged. They’re two great albums!
